Welcome to Dorm Room Fire Test Group


An ad hoc "Dorm Room Fire Test Group" successfully tested a new method to contain a fire to the room of origin using a 2nd generation fire resistant paint. This group of college fire safety officers, fire protection engineers and scientists assembled at the Boston Fire Training Facility to investigate an economical method to provide students more time to evacuate under fire conditions. Their full scale dorm room test proved this passive fire protection method can dramatically limit flame spread and smoke propagation in today's real world high risk student environment.
